Crazy Idea of the Week

In classic Jonesian form, I bring you [dum da da dum]: Crazy Idea of the Week! (Coye, you're right, that font would be super sweet). As such, you can expect never to see [dum da da dumb] Crazy Idea of the Week! again; and if again, then perhaps again in a year and a half.

So without further ado, I bring you [dum da da...forget it]:
Ok, have you guys seen the current trend of video blogs popping up around cyberspace? Of particular note are Rocketboom and Mobuzz, though these both only represent a sliver of the possibilities behind the medium. Well, I was thinking how fun it would be to try our collective hand at writing and producing a little video blog of our own. What would it be and how would it be structured? I haven't a clue, but it is a crazy idea of the week, thus, this has been, [dum da da dum]Daaaaaave's Crazy Idea of the Week! [buy all our play-sets and toys!]

So the first thing we need is a hot chick behind a desk. Hmmm... short of that... Adam is pretty. We could use him.

we would need a little of John Cleese's narration from Ethel the Frog:

A dash of ex-parrots

and, of course, a skateboarding dog

What would it be and how would it be structured? Yes, these would be the central questions for such an endeavor. It couldn't really be about our lives (I don't think...)--let's be honest, we're not that interesting. It could be about pop culture, or theological reflection, or musings of a more or less intellectual sort. But, I guess for me, the even bigger question would be: why? If it's just to amuse ourselves, it seems like an awful lot of work, particularly since we have trouble keeping ourselves interested in text-related postings on this blog.
If it's to amuse/inform/entertain others, it would mark a shift in focus for the blog.

This is not to discount the possibility in any way--I think it could be fun. But, like Dave, I have a history of getting interested in things I really don't have time for, when it comes down to actually making them happen. So, if anyone has good answers to these questions, I'm all ears.

It should definitely be Dusty (who I'm sure has the technology) reading what we write for him in as few breaths as possible, perhaps even vocalizing on the intake. Or only vocalizing on the intake. It should only be about news items that 1) have the words blue or fish in them 2)occurred exactly one year ago to the week, yet the stories are to be written presently, actively and indicatively. Every tenth episode will be read by lining the words up into ten-cell-wide tables and reading the columns top to bottom, right to left.

could it also involve a synesthetic coding of letters, colors and sounds?
