Yes. The act of literally shaping material from the WTC into an instrument (the leading edge!) of warfare was too strange not to be true-- and treating it like a memorial! Sublimating grief into aggression: that's healthy. And I can hardly believe that people still use the phrase "projecting American power" in a positive sense; that's sort of like waxing eloquent about colonialism. I think this boat is going to find its way into one of my papers.
